2020 GIRLS 10U Fall Clinics
10U Girls Lacrosse is designed to introduce young players to women's lacrosse and to teach them the fundamental skills and rules of the game. At 10U, games will be played 8 vs 8 and will generally be on short-sided fields. This allows for more touches, quicker play, and simply MORE FUN!
We hope to have Saturday friendlies scheduled with our lacrosse friends in Forest.
Cost of the season is $0. Like ZERO Dollars. We have a limited amount of free equipment rental for first-time players. 10U girls will need a stick, goggles, and a mouthguard. Players should bring their lacrosse equipment to each practice; including lacrosse stick, eye protection and mouthpiece. Cleats are recommended.
10U lacrosse is where young athletes begin developing fundamental technical skills in lacrosse. The game they play should be designed to develop a combination of athletic movements, skills, and fundamental technical skills for playing lacrosse. The emphasis at this age level is still on instilling a love and excitement of playing. The competition playing rules for 10U encourage multiple opportunities for each athlete to “touch” the ball, work with teammates, develop general physical literacy and a progressive development of existing technical skills.
Girls 10U will Practice on Tuesday evenings from 6-7:15 pm at Peaks View Park Fields 8/9 beginning Sept 14 - October 24
