2020 Season Cancellation Information

Dear Blue Ridge Lacrosse FAMILY,

What a spring 2020 is shaping up to be.  We hope you and your family are healthy, safe, and hanging in there--despite these unprecedented times.

We are so disappointed that our Spring 2020 Season must, at this point, be canceled.

Moving Forward

We are, however,  making some pretty exciting plans moving forward.

  • Blue Ridge plans to hold a number of regular free clinics, pick up games, and even 3x3 pick up sessions for both boys and girls this summer.
  • We are planning a full Fall Season--Fall Brawl for both Boys and Girls, Lax Under the Lights, and as much lacrosse as we can put in place.

Until we meet again....  We encourage you to #GetOutside.  If you have loaner equipment and you plan to play with BRLC again, please hang onto it this spring.  We'll be posting great drills, wall ball contests for prizes, fun activities you can play with your stick out in the yard.  All you need is a stick, a ball, and some grass!  (See more on loaner equipment below).

Spring 2020 Registration Fees

We intend to fully credit/refund Spring 2020 registration fees.

We ask that families complete THIS LINK to fill out a refund/credit form.

  • We are encouraging families who plan to play lacrosse with Blue Ridge in the fall or next Spring 2021 to 'roll over' their fees for a full credit for next season.
    • Dani Hottle our amazing administrator will have a record of all those credits moving forward so we can ensure that they are represented next season!
  • If a family would like a full refund (player aging out, not sure if playing again, etc.), we are happy to provide that.  Just let us know by way of the form.
    • It may take 4-6 weeks to get your refund checks back to you.  We apologize for that in advance.
  • Finally, if you choose, we'll also gladly accept your spring fees as a donation to Blue Ridge Lacrosse Club.  They will go to fund scholarships, new equipment, field maintenance, and more opportunities to play next season.

Spring Loaner Equipment

If you have loaner equipment from Blue Ridge Lacrosse, please do the following:

  • Complete this form and let us know if you'll be keeping it through the spring/summer into fall.
  • *Again, we encourage you to keep your loaner equipment if you plan to play with us again!  The weather is getting nicer and it'll be a great outside distraction as our social distancing continues.
  • If you would like to return your equipment, please email blueridgelaxclub@gmail.com and we can give you instructions on where to place it in a designated bin on porches of our coaches/board members.
  • IF YOU RECEIVED a uniform/jersey already, please email blueridgelaxclub@gmail.com and we can let you know ALSO where to drop those off.

Stay in Touch!

Please visit our Blue Ridge Lacrosse Facebook and Instagram pages.  Make our website a frequent stop.

AS SOON AS WE ARE ABLE, we are going to be hosting pick up days, free clinics, training sessions, and FUN!  We are as anxious to get back out there as you are!

In the meantime,

Keep your sticks sharp, your chins up, and your hands clean!

We've got lots of lacrosse ahead...

Fondly,

The Blue Ridge Lacrosse Board

We are so disappointed that our Spring 2020 Season must, at this point, be canceled.  We understand that it is the right thing to do, and completely support our Governor's mandate, but it does not make it any easier to swallow.
